About

Souvineer is the musical project started in winter 2020 by musician and songwriter Alissa Leonard formerly of Jacksonville/Chicago based bands Isabella Parole and Manatella. Souvineer songs are typically lyrically/story driven and low fi folk/pop/rock.

Souvineer's debut EP Snowglobe was released in August 2021 recorded at Pine Studios in Jacksonville, Florida and mastered by  The Glow Studio in Athens, Georgia. The project has grown to include bassist Kelly Green (Light the Moon), Daniel Hastings (Edenfield) on drums and Paul Hallman (Blonde Bulldog Records) on guitar.

In June 2024 Souvineer released a second EP titled Statues which contains stripped down dark/ambient songs inspired by artists such as Iron and Wine, Adrianne Lenker and John Prine.

Other notable recent full band recordings include singles “The Catch”, “Paradise” and “Blank Page” recorded at Rockbot Studios in Jacksonville, Florida.

Souvineer is currently working on a covers EP to be released in 2025 and crafting their first album. They are currently playing shows in North Florida and are known to embrace not only coffee shops, record store and dark and stormy night club stages but also unusual venues like zoos, ice rinks and local elementary schools.
